Scone study break.

Chelle and I have been on a food blog kick. It started to be a simple interest. Now it has really become an active hobby. Over dinner (blog-inspired asparagus and artichoke risotto) my housemates and I decided that Halloween should be a regular fall-flavored baking frenzy. We already kicked off this frenzy last weekend by having a pumpkin and squash pie night. Chelle suggested pumpkin muffins for tonight, and I was all set to make them as a orgo-study-break snack. Turns out we don't actually own a muffin tin (this will be remedied very shortly) so I turned to our newest favorite food blog, picked something and tried it out.

Much to everyone's dismay I refused to tell what I was making, only that I'd need all of Chelle's semi-sweet chocolate chips. I whipped up a batch of chocolate chip scones, and boy did they come out PERFECT.

Best day ever.
